    Excellent

A well-nigh endless source of entertainment and information. The one-star reviewer is presumably writing about the one volume edition and, of course, there are bound to be omissions - you can't get as many groups and artists in 1600 pages as you can in 8900 pages! It's almost akin to writing off War and Peace because there's a comma missing on page 990. As far as my preferences are concerned I haven't found any important omissions and I doubt if more than a tiny minority will do so. We should be grateful for the enormous amount of research and dedication that has gone into this encyclopedia.

Excellent choice for music enthusiasts who need a short background to their favourite artist and a review of artists they may be interested in listening too. Album choices made easy with a rating of albums produced and must have albums for any serious music collector.

A fascinating reference source. It contains so much information about the music industry in recent years. However, like most tomes of this nature, there are some gaps - but this is to be expected I suppose. Well worth the money though.

Excellent detail by and large- although as always some errors and omissions leak through. Main problem is a lack of indexing- a big problem in an encyclopaedia where you want to access an individual entry.
